Benjamin Banwart is Co-Founder of Climate Commodities (CC). At CC, Mr. Banwart serves as leadership for the firm's physical trading desk and CC's operating subsidiaries in insurance, mineral processing and refining, transportation and logistics, sustainable packaging, asset management, and renewable power.
Previously, Mr. Banwart served as Commodities & Natural Resources Portfolio Manager and Investor at Millennium Management and Castleton Commodities (Louis Dreyfus). He has led billions of dollars of investments in companies, assets, and resources globally in addition to deep experience in physical and financial commodities trading and risk management. Mr. Banwart began his career in the investment banking department of Citigroup focusing on mergers & acquisitions and restructuring within the global financial institution and insurance industry during the Great Recession.
Mr. Banwart is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and was awarded the President's
Environmental Youth Award by President George W. Bush.
